Vail Valley Real Estate News, Market Conditions and Trends for Friday, March 28. Anticipating another end-of-month sales spike, Pink Vail, Mr. Brown goes to Washington and more – this week in Vail Valley Real Estate News!
Friday, March 28, 2014
As of the end of business Thursday, 54 homes have been sold so far in Eagle County this March, including seven sales over $2 million, at an average sale price of $984,334. With just four days remaining in the month, it remains to be seen if March will pull ahead of February’s total of 63 homes sold. We’ll almost certainly see a spike at the end of the month – last year, for example, 16 sales closed on March 28 and 29.
In fact, one of Friday’s closings is our own 2480 Saddle Ridge Loop property in Wildridge. Congratulations to the new homeowners! For more information on other homes for sale in Wildridge, contact the Rocky Mountain Home Team today.
In other local news, Eagle County’s April 1 deadline for accepting retail marijuana license applications is fast approaching, and the applications are coming in. The first shops hope to start selling April 20. Do you think the legal sale of marijuana will impact property values? Will that impact be positive or negative? Let us know in the comments!

Property Taxes have hit a 20-year high. The “good news” – only “modest increases” are expected next time around.
