What to Do in the Vail Valley
After a brief warm spell, the Vail Valley is once again awash in snow. With over 26 inches of fresh powder in the past five days, conditions in the mountains are terrific for some winter recreation. From skiing and snowboarding at Vail and Beaver Creek resorts to exploring at altitude with snowshoes or snowmobiles, it is prime time to embrace the winter in Eagle County.
At the lower altitudes of the western portion of the Valley, the Eagle Ranch Golf Club is getting ready for a March 19th opening day. Time it right, and you could get a few runs in at Beaver Creek in the morning before shooting a round of golf.
The Vail Valley Film Festival may be a few months away, but you can get a taste of things to come at CineBistro in Vail. The Film Festival’s Winter Screening Series will include two films “Barista” on March 19th at noon, and “Youth” on March 26th.
